MEET THE TEAM
Meet Katherine
Founder / Clinical Therapist (She/Her)
Hi there! I’m Katherine, but you can also call me Kat. I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist and the founder of Prism Counselling. Building a team of diverse mental health professionals has always been the dream, and I still have to pinch myself when I think about the wealth of experienced, passionate therapists I am lucky enough to be surrounded by.
As the team continues to grow and my responsibilities do too, I’d say I’ve become a therapist on more of a part-time basis. Nonetheless, creating meaningful relationships with my clients is by far my favourite part of the job. I love that everyone has a unique story. Being trusted to support people write out their future chapters all while making sense of the previous ones is something I can’t quite put into words. I learn from my clients just as much as they learn from me – definitely more, actually! Collaboration makes room for so many doors to open and so much perspective to be had. I love it.
Prior to finishing my Master’s, I have worked in the field of mental health in various capacities for about six years now, both in the private and public sectors. My scope of practice is always evolving as I gain education and experience, but my primary areas of interest at this time are: helping clients regain a zest for life, relationship and intimacy issues, stressful life changes such as parenthood or tragedy, and career counselling.

Meet Tayler
Clinical Therapist (She/Her)
Whether coming to counselling is a new step for you or if you have previous experience, I am honoured to join you on your path. I value getting to know you and the unique factors that shape you, your preferences, and your circumstances, while collaborating in a supportive, non-judgmental, and safe space. I believe, with the right fit, everyone can benefit from counselling, whether for existing challenges or as part of your ongoing self-care routine. Life is hard; we don’t have to navigate it alone! Independence and seeking support can exist together.
When it comes to an approach, I like to find a balance between identifying your strengths and honouring and addressing the challenges that brought you here. But, ultimately, we will find what works and doesn’t work for you.

Meet Nat
Clinical Therapist (She/Her)
I truly believe that therapy can serve a unique purpose for us all. Whether you're curious about the meaning behind your thoughts and actions, navigating personal relationships, or striving for a deeper understanding of your life, therapy gives us the room to explore and align ourselves. I also enjoy helping youth ages 7-12 develop a positive association with mental health.
What therapy looks like has changed a lot over the years. My approach is non-pathologizing and person-centered, drawing on acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and psychodynamic therapy. I genuinely enjoy helping others find meaning in their actions, deepen their self-understanding, and work toward positive change – Sometimes, that requires us to be challenged!
You bring your own experiences, and I'm here to provide a perspective that supports your next steps. Together, we can create a supportive environment that fosters growth and transformation. It is a privilege to be trusted with your most vulnerable moments, and I am dedicated to walking alongside you on your journey.

*Not Currently Accepting Clients*
Hello! I am excited to be joining the Prism team in offering inclusive services to support mental health and well-being. My main objective is to establish a connection with my clients and provide them with a safe space to work towards achieving their goals. My unique combination of education and experience has provided me with a skillset to support individuals, couples and families, specifically targeting anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, anger management, mood disorders, borderline personality, and social-emotional learning. My interests and skillset include working with adults and youth, individuals who identify as neurodivergent (including ADHD and ASD), and supporting clients with relationship issues, going through life transitions, and chronic stress. I favor a CBT and Emotion-Focused approach to therapy while collaborating with clients in selecting a therapeutic approach that works well for them, utilizing a trauma-informed lens to practice.
I have worked in the field of mental health for 10 years in various capacities, including delivering ABA therapeutic interventions, supporting youth in the public school system, and now supporting individuals within the private sector. I value the therapeutic relationship and meeting clients where they’re at to make the counselling experience both positive and productive. Meet Patricia
Administrative Assistant (She/Her)
Hello! I was born & raised in México City. In 2010, I Ieft my home city to embrace a new life in the USA. I lived in Florida for 12 years where I worked hard, and formed a beautiful family. I worked as a waitress and I did love my job; but since I always have liked to take challenges, I took a casual job as an office assistant at a start-up company. I quickly transitioned into a full-time job and the right-hand of the owner.
In 2021, a new opportunity knocked on my door, so I left my comfort zone and moved to PEI, Canada. There, I took a diploma and worked as a server part-time. After graduation, I realized I needed to move to a bigger city to find better job opportunities. In the summer of '22, I visited Fredericton and immediately fell in love. I knew it was going to be the perfect place to raise my family. I consider myself an easy-going person, however, I am an organized perfectionist. I think my flaw may be my greatest strength, because it has made me a reliable professional. In my free time I enjoy going to the movies with my daughters, travel and cooking.

Meet Vanessa
Registered Dietician (She/Her)
Hi there! I am Vanessa Langille, a mental health Dietitian and owner of Langille Nutrition. I help people optimize their mental health through nutrition. Improving your eating habits can help increase energy, boost mood, and enhance mental clarity. You don’t have to be diagnosed with a mental illness to reap the benefits of a healthy eating pattern.
My philosophy is that all foods fit. When you work with me, we focus on what you can add to your diet. The goal is to nourish your brain and body so it can run efficiently. Food does not need to be an extra stressor in your life, let me help! Some areas I can help with:
- What to eat to support your mental health, meal and snack ideas for tough times, regulating your appetite, cravings, support and guidance in making changes, managing gut health symptoms, eating strategies to keep you energized throughout the day, creating a better relationship with food, and more!
The reality is, if you are not fueling your body properly – it will not run efficiently. Nutrition is an important tool to have in your mental health toolbox and it can be tough to navigate on your own.
Let me help you out. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions, or to see if we might be a good fit!
